Dual Diagnosis Treatment in Maryland

Saturday, March 8th, 2008

Dual diagnosis treatment in Maryland is not so easy to find when you really do not know where to go. I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland just outside of Towson, Maryland. As a teenager I remember feeling less than and depressed even before I began my drug use, which turned into drug addiction not long afterward. If one of the doctors that I saw would have looked at the depression and drug addiction and come up with the need for dual diagnosis treatment rather than just drug addiction treatment might have saved me alot of trouble. All I did was get worse so I knew I had to find some dual diagnosis treatment in Maryland that knew what they were doing.

Dual Diagnosis Helpline

A friend of mine who had gone through drug addiction treatment years before reccomended that I call this dual diagnosis helpline to locate a quality dual diagnosis program in Maryland, so I called the helpline. These helpline people understood exactly what I was looking for when I said” I needed a dual diagnosis program in Maryland”. After a lenghty evaluation, which I was very impressed with, they said they could find me a dual diagnosis program in Maryland, but wondered if I would travel if they could locate a better program for me. I told them I would rather stay in Maryland, but was willing to go anywhere to feel better. After checking out the dual diagnosis program in Maryland they gave me, I called the helpline people back to look into the other dual diagnosis program. The dual diagnosis helpline number is 1-800-511-9225.Florida Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Funny enough I ended up going to a dual diagnosis program in Florida, Jacksonville, Florida to be exact. I never thought I would go to Florida for dual diagnosis treatment, but I did indeed end up in Jacksonville, Florida and I have to tell youI am happy to say. This Florida dual diagnosis program was the real deal. I ended up staying in Jacksonville, Florida as I made alot of friends and loved the 12 step meetings. In addition, I got to go to aftercare at the dual diagnosis treatment program.
