Dual Diagnosis Drug Treatment

I suffered with bipolar disorder and a hydrocodone addiction for years. I would try one drug treatment program after another and then one psychiatric program after another. Every time I would do well for month or two and then end up stopping my meds and taking hydrocodone again. It wasn’t until I found a dual diagnosis rehab center that I stayed in recovery.

I thought that was great as I no longer had to look for dual diagnosis treatment in my own area, but could go to the best dual diagnosis rehab center no matter where it was. The staff at the helpline understood my situation and provided me with several choices.

I chose a place away from my local area as I felt I needed to get away from my old friends. They just were not going to stop and there was no way I could say no around them. As for the dual diagnosis rehab center, I used my best judgement, asked plenty of questions and before I made the decision I called the dual diagnosis helpline back to make sure.
